Dance like it’s the 50’s

Essential Takeaway: Twist and Shout

This weekend I went to a local theater and watched the musical/play The Million Dollar Quartet. I am uncultured and had no idea what it would be about. I was so happy the second the lights went down and the music started! I LOVED IT! Life has been difficult for me because I born in the wrong decade. I love music from the 50’s through the 80’s. My daughter was not familiar with the music and I became very aware of my deficient parental duties.  After we got home, I quickly started the indoctrination education my kids were lacking. I will continue their education this week. After all, why home school if I’m going to neglect the most important parts of their education? Don’t worry, my children know all the good songs from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The 8 year old knows Journey and Styx. Now, she will know Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and a little Elvis. Take three minutes today to dance around the kitchen and expose the kids to a little bit of classic American history and culture. Blue Suede Shoes fix all cranky attitudes!
