Essential Takeaway: Stock up on mega stuff when you can

While shopping, I saw this sign:

I did what every rational freaked out person would do. I bought a year supply of dish soap. My family might live through this crisis that is expected to end in 7 weeks.

A shortage on dish soap is a concern. Despite the condition of my home, I really do think the spirit can not dwell in an unclean thing.  I know cleanliness is next to Godliness, or at least keeps my sanity in check. Soap shortages? Will my children be talking about the great dish soap shortage of November 2019?  A greater shortage was the complete lack of mega-stuff Oreo’s. I can not believe the new reality we are being forced to live in.

I do consider myself somewhat of a hoarder preparedness minded, reasonable person. I am grateful for the scripture that reminds us “If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear.”   The lack of Oreo’s has caused me to think, how prepared am I? 

More importantly, how prepared am I spiritually? Trials will come… are here. I have a couple of trials right now that make me rely more on the Lord. I am really learning that I need to make sure I am doing everything I can to feel the spirit. President Nelson told us in April 2018 “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.” Do we believe he is a prophet of God? If so, that sounds like a prophetic warning to me.

The most important thing we can have is a relationship with the Holy Ghost.

It may not be a bad idea to have some dish soap and mega stuff Oreos.
